South East Awarded Finland’s Best Course for the Eighth Time

Kytäjä’s South East course has once again received the prestigious “Finland’s Best Golf Course” award at the World Golf Awards gala. The recognitions were presented in Madeira at a November event celebrating the leading operators and services in the golf industry.

“International recognition is important to us. It’s wonderful that the commitment and high-quality work of Kytäjä’s staff is being noticed also beyond Finland’s borders,” says CEO Jukka Koivu.

Launched in 2014, the awards gala aims to elevate the standard of the golf industry by annually honoring pioneers in golf tourism, golf courses, and destinations.
The global voting opens at the beginning of the year and involves both golf-tourism professionals and consumers. Votes are submitted on the World Golf Awards website.

Kytäjä Remains Among Europe’s Top Courses

The UK’s leading golf magazine, Today’s Golfer, has published its latest Golf World ranking, and Kytäjä’s South East once again stands firmly among Europe’s best courses. South East rose to 90th place when Golf World ranked the Top 100 courses in Continental Europe. This means South East continues as the highest-ranked Finnish course in Europe’s most respected listing.

“We are extremely proud of this achievement. International recognition motivates us to continuously improve both our courses and our services. We want to keep offering players a first-class golf experience,” says Kytäjä Golf’s CEO, Jukka Koivu.

This year, Today’s Golfer also published the “Next 100 Courses,” bringing the total ranking to the Top 200 courses in Europe. Kytäjä’s North West made an impressive rise to 130th place.

“With more than 5,000 golf courses in Continental Europe, having two Kytäjä courses ranked among the top 200 is an outstanding accomplishment. North West is an important part of Kytäjä’s offering, and we are committed to ensuring that the same level of quality and finish is evident across both courses.”

Two other Finnish courses — Ålands Golfklubben’s Slottsbanan and Linna Golf — also appear in this year’s Continental Europe Top 100 list. Kalajoki ranked 146th. The placement of three Finnish courses among Europe’s top hundred reinforces Finland’s image as a rising golf nation with courses that stand up to comparison with the continent’s most renowned destinations.
